Firman H08051 Portable Gas 8000/10,000 Watt Hybrid Dual Fuel Generator w/Electric Start

Very excellent generator. Meets all my needs except it is noisy.

Setup was easy. The generator work well. Powered my whole house . Very quite.

I was looking for a generator that would power the hole house during power outages, I liked that it had a 50 amp plug on it, I setup a 50 amp plug outside to back feed the panel, it ran the house & it ran the 3 ton ac with no problem I did turn off the water heater, as of right now i only used it for 15 minutes, the true test will be during the next hurricane. The 3 year warranty is great I hope that they stand behind it if needed & that the are made in the USA Arizona. It is heavy at just over 200 lbs, would like to see the noise levels lower.

Started up immediately after adding oil and LP tank. I checked online reviews of ALL generator manufactures prior to ordering. The only ones without out complaints - were Firman and Champion.

After much research and comparison, I decided to order the Firman H08051 generator from Nationwide Generators. My decision was based on price vs features for a portable in the 10 KW range. After a reasonable waiting period, my generator arrived. It had been shipped direct from Firman Generators. After it was delivered, and after the freight company had departed, I realized that the wrong model had been shipped. I contacted Phil Paulas at Nationwide, and Phil took immediate action. Working through Firman, Phil arranged for the incorrect model to be shipped back to Firman, while at the same time arranging for the correct model to be sent. Great job Phil! Within about 1 week I received my generator, and following all unboxing procedure I was very pleasantly surprised to find an obvious quality product, which performed exactly as predicted, with a couple of pleasant surprises. For example, this generator recharges its own starting battery, as it runs, which is not mentioned in any pre-purchase literature. So far, I have only run the unit a little over 5 hours for break-in and to test its ability to handle the intended workload. I am able to use it as a "whole house" back-up for my 100 amp circuited home, as long as I do not try to operate too many high wattage accessories at the same time. Fortunately, I have not had the need to use it as intended, as I am yet to experience a power outage, but based upon my experience with start-up and break-in, I have every reason to believe there will be no issues with reliability for years to come. Buy Firman, and buy it through Nationwide, and you will not be disappointed!!
