The interface provides the necessary voltage sensing, timing functions and switching circuits required for automatic operation. This allows a 2 wire start generator to be installed without having to change the transfer switch or wiring between the transfer switch and generator.

**If using a Generac RTS style Transfer switch for 277/480v WYE or 480v Delta, the switches come standard with two step-down transformers taking the system voltage down to 240v.(See Photo) 

**Most installs using the Generac RTS require to use the KGC-240** 

If you are using any other transfer switch other than a Generac RTS, then the KGC-277 will be the device.
