Welcome to NationwideGenerators.com. The NationwideGenerators.com website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by CED/dba Nationwide Generators (“Nationwide Generators”). Access to, and use of the Site is offered to you conditioned upon your acceptance, without modification, of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the “Terms”), and CED Sales Terms and Conditions. By using NationwideGenerators.com, you agree to all such Terms. Please review these Terms carefully and retain a copy for your records.

  1. Online Orders

When placing an order online, you will be required to acknowledge acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. We encourage all customers to read these Terms thoroughly, as they are designed to guide and protect you throughout the purchasing process.

  1. Phone Orders

By placing an order over the phone at 630‑283‑5000, you automatically acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions. We recommend reviewing these Terms to ensure clarity and understanding before completing your purchase.

  1. Electronic Communications

By visiting NationwideGenerators.com or communicating with Nationwide Generators electronically, you consent to receive electronic communications. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

  1. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You may not transfer your account to another person or entity. Nationwide Generators is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from theft or misuse of your credentials. We reserve the right to terminate accounts, refuse service, or modify content at our discretion.

Nationwide Generators does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under 18 may use the Site only with parental or guardian permission.

  1. Shipping & Returns

Nationwide Generators strive to meet posted delivery estimates; however, delays may occur due to market conditions, weather events, natural disasters, or manufacturer backlogs. We reserve the right to adjust delivery dates accordingly and will work with customers to secure the earliest possible ship date.

Ground Freight

  • Free Ground Freight applies to generators and orders over $149 within most of the 48 contiguous U.S. states.
  • Orders under $149 incur a $15 flat-rate freight fee.
  • Free freight does not apply to returns.
  • Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Territories, and military/government/outlying areas require a U.S. based freight broker.
  • Lift Gate Service may be required for shipments over 200 lbs.; optional Lift Gate Service is available for $45 on qualifying items.
  • Large equipment (e.g., liquid‑cooled generators, trailers) requires customer‑provided offloading equipment.

Freight Deliveries

Customers must inspect all equipment before signing the delivery receipt. Signing confirms the shipment was received complete and undamaged. Damage discovered after signing is the customer’s responsibility.

Additional charges may apply for incorrect addresses, missed appointments, re‑deliveries, refusals of non‑damaged shipments, limited access areas, storage fees, and other carrier‑assessed surcharges.

  1. Stock & Non‑Stock Shipping
  • Most in‑stock items ship within 24 business hours of cleared payment.
  • Checks and money orders are held 5 business days or until cleared.
  • Shipments under 75 lbs. ship via UPS Ground.
  • Shipments over 75 lbs. ship via freight carrier.
  • Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Orders over $100 require a signature unless waived in writing.
  1. Payment Terms & Discounts
  • Payments must be clear before orders are released for shipping.
  • Only one discount may be applied per order.
  • Non‑stock orders require a full cleared payment upfront.
  • Accepted payment methods: major U.S. credit cards and wire transfers from U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico banks.

Cancellations

  • Shipped orders incur outbound + return freight plus restocking fees.
  • Unshipped orders canceled incur a 5% cancellation fee (minimum $20 or whichever is greater).
  • Non‑stock items: 20–30% restocking fee.
  • Factory‑direct items require factory approval for cancellation.
  • Liquid‑cooled generators and transfer switches above 400 amps are non‑cancelable and non‑refundable after 3 days.
  1. Compatibility & Correct Fit

Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased equipment is appropriate for their application. Consultation with a licensed electrician or code enforcement officer is strongly recommended. Nationwide Generators cannot guarantee compatibility with local codes or specific installation environments.

For parts and accessories, always provide your equipment serial number and verify part numbers using your equipment manual.

  1. Price Matching Policy

Nationwide Generators may consider price‑match requests from authorized U.S. resellers. We reserve the right to decline requests from unverified or international sellers or from competitors violating manufacturer MAP pricing.

We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders resulting from incorrect pricing or product listings.

  1. Incorrect Shipments

If you receive an incorrect item, please contact us promptly. We will work quickly to correct the issue.

  1. Sales Tax

Orders shipped within Illinois are subject to sales tax based on the delivery address. Orders shipped to other states are subject to applicable taxes as required by law.

  1. Manufacturer’s Warranty

NationwideGenerators.com is a reseller, not a manufacturer. All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty claims must follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.

  1. Returns Policy

Returns are accepted only when all conditions below are met:

Return Requirements

  • RMA must be requested within 30 days of receipt.
  • Items must be new, unused, uninstalled, undamaged, and in original packaging.
  • Restocking fee: 10–20% (minimum $20 or whichever is greater).
  • Customer is responsible for all outbound and return shipping costs.
  • Originally paid outbound shipping costs will not be refunded.
  • Freight items must be returned via freight carrier.
  • Items containing fuel or oil are not eligible for return.
  • Warranty‑related issues must be handled through the manufacturer.

  • Non‑stock items
  • Electronics
  • Items designated as non‑returnable
  • Liquid‑cooled generators and transfer switches above 400 amps (after 3 days)

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 2–3 weeks to process.

  1. Third‑Party Links & Services

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites. Nationwide Generators is not responsible for the content or operation of these sites. Links are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement.

Certain services on the Site may be provided by third‑party partners. By using such services, you consent to the sharing of necessary information with these partners.

  1. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, revocable license to use the Site in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

  • Use the Site for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with Site functionality
  • Attempt unauthorized access to data or systems
  • Modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content
